This cholla wood encourages the development of biofilm, a food source for shrimp and fish, supporting a flourishing aquatic environment.
This wood can help lower pH levels and hinder the growth of undesirable bacteria, contributing to a better aquatic habitat.
The porous texture of the cholla wood provides a secure refuge for shy shrimp and fish, reducing stress in the aquarium.
The crevices offer excellent surfaces for egg attachment and provide cover for vulnerable fry, making them perfect for breeding.
Inspect the cholla wood from molds or damages.
Submerge the wood in water for 2 - 3 hours. If you do not like the aquarium watercolor brown, this step will do the extraction of tannins.
Boil (optional) for 10-15 minutes. This step will further help in releasing the element that turns your aquarium water brown.
