- WIDE CSM ROLL: This 50-inch wide by 10-yard long roll of 1.5 oz E-glass chopped strand mat covers large surfaces in a single layup, ideal for boat building, hull lamination, mold making, and automotive body work where a full-width roll saves time and seams.
- E-GLASS CHOPPED MAT: Random-oriented short glass fibers wet out quickly and conform to curved hulls, rounded corners, and complex mold surfaces. The CSM layup builds uniform thickness faster than woven cloth in low-viscosity polyester and vinyl ester resin.
- BOAT BUILDING AND MOLDING: Use it for boat hulls, deck lamination, canoe and kayak building, surfboard blanks, RV body panels, custom car parts, and composite molds. The 50-inch width reduces seam count on large panels and lays flat without bias pull.
- WET LAYUP PROCESS: Cut the mat to size with a utility knife or scissors. Apply catalyzed resin to the mold or surface, lay the mat down, and wet it out thoroughly with a roller or brush. Add additional plies for structural laminates, then cure, demold, and sand as needed.
- FULL ROLL DIMENSIONS: Each order contains one roll of white chopped strand fiberglass mat, 50 inches wide by 30 feet long, about 125 square feet total. Rolled packaging keeps the mat clean and ready for wet layup projects.
