Plant Essentials
Fertilizer/ feed for the plant: Aralia plant does not require much feeding. Feed your Aralia plant every 2 weeks with fertiliser diluted to 1/2 strength. Repotting : Aralia plants require repotting every year since the roots eventually outgrow the pot. Propogation : Aralia plants can be propagated through green-stem cuttings that can be planted in moist soil where the cutting will root in merely a few days.
Common Problems
1. Why are the leaves of my Aralia dropping? Leaf-dropping in Aralia could be a result of a few different concerns, such as under-watering, lack of humidity or lack of sunlight. 2. Why are the leaves of my Aralia plant turning yellow? Typically, overwatering causes the Aralia leaves to turn yellow. Ensure that you are letting the top half of the soil to dry out before watering the plant. Another reason your Aralia leaves are turning yellow could be a nutrient deficiency. It is time to feed the plant. 3. Why do the leaves of my aralia plant have brown spots? Brown spots on Aralia leaves are generally an indication of over-fertilisation. Remember that Aralia plants do not require much feeding and hence the fertiliser should be diluted to half strength.
Style and Decor
Light Requirements : Full shade or hugely filtered sunlight is necessary for Aralia plants to be healthy and happy. Locations : Keep the Aralia plant indoors, preferably a north-facing window or a humid room. Styling/decor tip : They look great in corners individually or as a part of a plant cluster. Plant them in jute planters for that farmhouse charm or in decorative pots to add drama to your room. In a neutral toned room, add a few Aralia plants in rustic pots to make it more charming without much efforts. Keep these plants on tabletops in small planters to create a focal point in your room.
